OBJECTIVES:
* Reviewing the eight parts of speech
* Knowing and understanding Elements of Literature
* Reading two novels together as a class, having worksheets, and quizzes
* Literature Groups in which every student is responsible for an assigned job in the novel being read
* Improving vocabulary skills
* Learning and practicing oral presentations
* Writing forms of poetry
* Writing skits for a puppet play
* Writing stories with a plot, setting, conflict, climax, and resolution
* Learning ISAT strategies and skills for testing
* Completing Think Link testing four times a year
* Developing Keynotes, iMovies, Comic Life, and Pages activities
* Diagramming sentences

Students will be reading Rebecca Caudill's top 20 books! If they read five, they may attend the "Battle of the Books" in May! If they read all 20, then they participate in the "Battle"and can win some nice prizes!
Book Evaluation for 4th quarter will be due Thursday, May 8th! There will be no projects with this evaluation. You will write your summary that day in class! :)
